  • Jamie Leigh Mueller of Rockridge High School was recently presented the school's highest agricultural honor, the DEKALB Agricultural Accomplishment Award, sponsored by Monsanto Company.
    Jamie, the daughter of Brian and Jean Mueller, received the award for excellence in academics, leadership and agricultural work experience. Jamie's significant experiences and accomplishments have included 2011-12 Rockridge Chapter President FFA, 201-12 Section President FFA, 1st Place District and State Qualifier in Nursery Operations Proficiency, Earned State Degree 2011. Al Hyett is Jamie Mueller's agricultural education instructor at Rockridge High School.
    This year the DEKALB Agricultural Accomplishment Award celebrates its 65th anniversary. Over these 65 years more than 168,000 high school seniors from across the country have received the Award, which has become a symbol for excellence and the school's highest agricultural honor. In 2011, over 2,000 students from high schools in 49 of the 50 states were recognized with the Award.
    As a winner of the 2012 Award, Jamie's name will be recorded on a permanent plaque displayed at Rockridge High School.
