Major league home openers are always special, but the Chicago White Sox home opener was even more so for 103 year old Glenn Brown of rural Viola. As a life long Sox fan he was a guest of honor at last Friday's game. Five Chicago TV stations interviewed him before the game, and in Glenn's words, "I had a ball".
One TV station talked to him at a game last summer, and this year all of the major stations joined in. He says the main questions were "How did you become a White Sox fan?" and "What is your secret?".
Glenn said he started a tradition of White Sox fans as also in attendance were son, Ken, of Viola, and grandson Sean with great grandson Kevin of Crystal Lake. Between interviews he was able to walk around on the field and even sit in the White Sox dugout.
