  • Catherine J. Figart, 49, Blanchester, Ohio, went to be with our Lord on Monday, May 28, 2012. Funeral services were held June 4, 2012, at Tufts Schildmeyer Family Funeral Home, Blanchester. Pastor Gary Mattingly officiated. Burial was at I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
    A time of fellowship will be held June 21, 2012 at 5 p.m. at the Illinois City United Methodist Church with a memorial service at 6 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Fisher House, 415 Schlatter Drive, Wright Patterson AFB, Ohio 45433-1144.
    Cathi was born Feb. 16, 1963, to Rollin (Ronnie) and Margaret (Peggy) Sims Heaton. She attended Illinois City Elementary School and graduated from Rockridge High School. She proudly served her country in the U.S. Army and recently received her bachelor's degree. Cathi was united in marriage to Roger Figart Sr., May 14, 1983, in Washington, D.C. She had been employed at Wal-Mart for several years. Cathi had been a Girl Scout leader, Boy Scout leader and Sunday School teacher. She enjoyed reading, arts & crafts, riding horses, her pets, and especially playing in the sandbox with her grandson.
    Surviving are her husband of 29 years, Roger Figart, Blanchester; daughter Katie, Fayetteville, Ohio; son Aaron (Natalie), Blanchester; step-son Roger Jr. (Lori) Blanchester; step-daughter Lisa (Kevin) Behymer, Ohio; grandchildren Trevor Figart, Lyle and Ryan Behymer; parents Ronnie and Peggy Heaton, Illinois City; sister Susan Martin, Taylor Ridge; brothers Arlyn (Dawn) Heaton, Milan; Richard (Susanne) Heaton, Crown Point, Ind; Noah (Kari) Heaton, Boonesville, Mo.; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and other loved ones.
    She gave the gift of life to many through organ donation. Cathi will always live in our hearts.
