  • Sandburg Offering Extended Office Hours for Registration

  • The Carl Sandburg College Admissions and Records Office will have extended office hours from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Aug. 13-16 and Aug. 20-21 for those registering for the fall 2012 semester. The Admissions and Records Office is located in the lower level of Building E on the Main Campus in Galesburg, 2400 Tom L. Wilson Blvd.

    The Branch Campus in Carthage and the Extension Center in Bushnell will have regular office hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, but evening registration appointments are available at both sites upon request. For questions regarding registration for classes in Bushnell, call 309.772.2177. For questions regarding registration for classes in Carthage, call 217.357.3129 ext. 0.
     
    Registration for the fall semester ends at midnight Aug. 19, and classes begin Aug. 20. Current Sandburg students can search for classes now and register online. To register, go to www.sandburg.edu and click on the mySandburg link in the top-right corner. After logging in, go to the registration section to register for classes.     In-district and online student tuition for Sandburg is $138 per credit hour. One year of tuition at Sandburg can help you save more than $6,000 over attending a four-year public college and more than $26,000 over attending a four-year private college.
     
    Sandburg ranked among the top 10 percent nationally in lowest average net price for two-year public colleges during the 2009-2010 academic year, according to a June report by the U.S. Department of Education. Sandburg’s average net price of $3,338 for in-district students was nearly half the national average, according to thereport. The report said the national average to attend a two-year public institution was $6,485 and that 74 percent of full-time first-year studentsreceived scholarships and grant aid.
