Funeral services for Shirley Ann Walker, 57, of Davenport, Iowa, was at 1 p.m. on Monday at Cunnick-Collins Mortuary, Davenport. Family greeted friends on Monday from 11 a.m. to service time at the Mortuary.

Shirley passed away after a long fight with health issues on Thursday, Aug. 23, 2012, at her home with her family by her side. She will be missed more than life itself.

Shirley Ann Moore was born on Sept. 24, 1954 in Washington, Iowa. She later moved to Kalona, Iowa where she was raised by her parents, Lyall and Ann (Floring) Moore. Shirley and Kurt Walker met and and fell in love in 1988 and moved in together later that year. On Jan. 23, 1999, they joined hands in holy matrimony. They enjoyed spending their time together at home with Maddie, their canine sidekick for car rides and watching television. She also enjoyed her dog, Boozer, who she loved dressing up for the holidays. She loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. Shirley was a caring, loving person with a huge heart. She loved her husband Kurt, daughters Monica and Heidi, and her little granddaughter Claire very much. Shirley enjoyed shuffle board, darts, going to garage sales, shopping and "palling around" with her son-in-law. She also enjoyed going for car rides to watch the new bridge construction on Concord Avenue. Shirley worked at Purolator Products Company for many years.

Survivors include her husband Kurt of Davenport; daughters Heidi (Chris) Reid of Davenport, Monica (Dave) Ruddy of West Branch, Iowa; grandchildren Claire Ruddy; extended family; Adrien, Adriyan, Mariah, Raven, Kamille, Khianna; step-grandchild Christyonna Reid; sisters; Lila (Bob) Grout, Lorna (Tom) Hookham; brother Arden (Marie) Moore; sisters-in-law Erma Moore and Bonnie Grady.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers; Gayden Grady, Cloyce Grady, Dean Moore and Wilbur Moore.

Memorials may be made to the Scott County Humane Society.

Shirley's funny sense of humor will be truly missed. We love you mom….Infinity.
