  • Letter: Democrats, think about how to vote

  • It's hard to believe that people can vote Democrat once they've looked at the party platform.

  • It's hard to believe that people can vote Democrat once they've looked at the party platform.
Are they voting that way because their family has always voted that way, or unions and Hollywood have told them "vote this way"?
I can't tell you how many people have told me they think Illinois and America are going in the wrong direction. They explain the many problems and how nobody's listening and yet they still plan to vote Democrat.
How does this make any sense? Can't they see that the current administration's policies are liberal and our state and country are going down in flames? Isn't that the definition of insanity, doing the same thing expecting a different result?
If you agree that the government needs to grow and be more intrusive, that all your money belongs to government, that it's all right to kill unborn babies, that people cannot make life decisions without governmental guidance, that the Constitution is just an old piece of paper to be ignored, and that God is irrelevant in our world, then vote the same people back into office.
More taxes on business will result in higher prices and fewer jobs. Aren't our taxes too high already? Sixteen trillion dollars in debt, and growing, is dangerous for our national security and an unacceptable legacy to pass onto our children.
One more detail we can't forget … ILLINOIS IS BROKE!!!
I am voting for change and pray that God will continue to bless America!
