  • On Tuesday, October 30th from 5-7 p.m., the Black Hawk College East Campus will transform itself for the 17th year into a frightful and delightful Trick-or-Treat Trail of fun for ages Pre-K through sixth grade.
We've heard rumors of the Candy Land board game coming to life. There may just be a gnome garden popping up along with haunted bookcases, spooky science experiments and other haunted happenings taking place all across campus!
The Student Life Office will once again host a costume contest for our resident horses and prizes (bookstore gift certificates) will be awarded to the BEST costumed horses and their student-caretakers. Our tiny ghoulish guests will decide the winners.
Lil' trick-or-treaters will each receive a BHC candy bag to haul their loot away. Employees and students will dress in costumes, decorate the college hallways, hand out treats and host a "haunted" horse barn. Costumes are optional for the children. Last year, approximately 1,000 children attended the event.
Kids and their parents should check in at the front entrance of the main building at East Campus. Directions will be given to the kids for their trick-or-treating.
For more information about the Trick-or-Treat Trail, contact Vashti Berry at 309-854-1711, or 800-233-5671, ext. 1711.
