Carol Medvick, 51, passed away at 12:37 p.m. on Thursday, October 11, 2012, at Heartland Regional Medical Center following a long illness.
Carol was born November 2, 1960, in Madison, Wis., the daughter of Charles and Arlene (Kacik) Medvick.
She graduated from Marion High School in 1979 and received her Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design from SIU-Carbondale. Carol went on to complete her Master’s degree in Finance from Georgia State University. Her employment was primarily based in Atlanta, Georgia and Cincinnati, Ohio but included travel to various parts of the world. She was a member of the America Society of Interior Designers.
Carol is survived by her parents, Charles and Arlene Medvick of Marion; brothers, Mark Medvick and wife Deborah of St. Louis, Mo., and David Medvick and wife Nancy of St. Louis; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
A Memorial Mass will be Monday, October 15, 2012, at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marion with Monsignor Thomas Flach officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Monday at the church. Blue Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
