Robbery at bank in Viola

Local law enforcement agencies are investigating a reported robbery at the bank in Viola Thursday morning.

The Mercer County Sheriff's Department was dispatched shortly before 10 a.m. with reports of a robbery at the Union Federal in Viola. There were no injuries reported.

A slender man dressed all in black about 5-11 was described fleeing the scene north on foot.

Mercer County Sheriff's Department officers and members of the Aledo Police Department were initially on scene.
