  • In the news:  Hostess Brands said Friday that it is closing for good and is asking a federal bankruptcy court for permission to liquidate. Hostess makes popular items such as Twinkies and Wonder Bread and is moving to sell some of its lines to the highest bidder, which means Twinkies might not altogether disappear. Hostess blamed the move on its striking bakers, who protested the company's new contract.  
    Happening today: This is the movie you’ve been waiting for – the final “Twilight” movie. “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2,” rated PG-13, opened today. For those looking for something with more historical flair (and Oscar aspirations) “Anna Karenina” opens as well (rated R and starring Keira Knightley, Jude Law), and opening in wide release is “Lincoln,” PG-13, the Steven Spielberg film starring Daniel Day-Lewis.
