Jacil D. Ham, 80, of Aledo, IL, died Sunday, December 9, 2012 at the Mercer County Nursing Home. Cremation has been accorded. Visitation is 4-7 p.m., Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at Fippinger Funeral Home in Aledo where memorials may be left to the Mercer County Animal Shelter or March of Dimes. She was born April 15, 1932 in La Harpe, IL to Crit and Alma Harmon Carter. She graduated from Blandensville High School and married Guy Hardisty in 1950. He died in 1953. She then married Earl F. Ham May 5, 1956 in Macomb, IL.
Jacil was a waitress in the Aledo area for many years and was employed as a nurse's aide at the Mercer County Nursing Home, retiring in 1996. She enjoyed riding motorcycles, gardening, cross-stitching and playing softball in her younger days.
Survivors include her husband: Earl; three daughters: Linda (Keith) Estes of Davenport, IA; Rhonda (Tom) Cady of Preemption, IL; Brenda (John) Hess of Broken Arrow, OK; 7 grandchildren; Randi Jo, Douglas, Ashley, Alex, Aaron, Jared and Andrea; 6 great grandchildren with two lovingly expected; one great great granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three sons; one daughter; one grandchild; three sisters; and one brother.
