Have you ever wondered how the Christmas season of December can be so warm, yet January so cold? I’m not referring to physical temperatures, but to the fluctuating temperature of the heart.
The emotions and spirit of a season seem to bite the dust soon after the holidays pass by. Over-spending in December can cause financial misery in January and that misery can take on a negative expression.
There are many reasons, perhaps excuses is a better word, why human nature reverts back to an “I, Me” state of mind. Once a person has shown that they can reach out with a spirit of giving and love, then there is no excuse or reason that holds water when the unpleasant winds of January blow.
Perhaps, if the word, “love” was written on each day of the calendar, then there might be a more consistent expression of love and good cheer. Just saying.
