Harley F. Curtis, 74, of New Boston, died Friday, Feb, 8, 2013, at Genesis Medical Center East Campus in Davenport.
Cremation rites have been accorded per his wishes. No services are planned.
Memorials may be left to The New Boston Eliza Fire and Ambulance District or American Cancer Society.
He was born June 16, 1938, in Davenport, Ia., the son of Floyd and Pauline Nemluvil Curtis. He married Janice M. King on Aug. 27, 1960, in New Boston.
He was a farmer in Mercer County. He was past president of the New Boston Eliza Fire and Ambulance District. He enjoyed fishing and playing cards.
He is survived by his wife, Janice of New Boston; one sister, Debra Curtis of Galesburg; nieces and nephews, Jerry and Pam Russell, Jeff and Pam Russell and Barry and Linda Nelson, all of New Boston and Joyce and Mark Ridgway of Shelbina, MO.
He was preceded by his parents and a sister, Audrey, in infancy.
