Mercer County 4-H Clubs are cooking up their best chili in support of the Mercer County Food Pantry! On Saturday, March 16 from 4 – 7 p.m., the public is invited to the event at the new Aledo Fire Station 202 NE 2nd Street. Guests can sample chili donated by the 4-H Clubs. Free-will donations and/or non-perishable food items are being accepted to benefit the Churches of Mercer County Food Pantry. Aledo Firefighters will judge each 4-H Club’s chili recipe and a Traveling Trophy will be awarded to the winning club. Last year the winning club was the Country Kids. For more information call Mercer County 4-H and Extension at (309) 582-5106.
