  • Today, Congresswoman Cheri Bustos (IL-17) announced that Milan resident Heidi Schultz will be her new District Director.  Schultz is a longtime resident of the 17th Congressional District and has spent the last twenty years at Management Resource Group in Davenport, where she currently holds the title of Partner.  As part of her job, she has helped displaced workers in cities across the region find employment including in Peoria, Rockford, in Galesburg following the Maytag facility closing, and in Sterling and Rock Falls after the National Manufacturing plant closed.
Heidi served for fourteen years in the U.S. Army National Guard, including the Iowa National Guard where she left in 2001 with the rank of Captain.  Heidi has served on numerous community, business and civic groups in the 17th Congressional District, including the Quad Cities Chamber of Commerce among others.
Heidi is married to Herb Schultz and has two teenage sons.
As District Director, Heidi will be in charge of Bustos’ Illinois staff and offices in Rock Island, Peoria and Rockford.  Heidi will start later this month and be based in Bustos’ Rock Island office.
“I’m pleased to announce Milan resident Heidi Schultz as my new District Director,” said Congresswoman Cheri Bustos.  “Heidi is a longtime resident of our region, has been a champion of workforce development, served our country honorably in the National Guard and has been involved in many community organizations.  Heidi will be a terrific member of our team, which is focused each and every day on serving the people of Illinois’ 17th District.”

“As a longtime resident and active community member of the 17th Congressional District, making all our communities better places to live, work and raise families has always been a priority of mine,” said Heidi Schultz.  “This commitment to serving others is why I am honored and excited to be joining the team of Congresswoman Bustos, who always prioritizes the people of our region.”
