  • Glenn Longley of Bonne Terre, Missouri was born on Wednesday, June 28, 1933 in Aledo, Illinois a son of the late, Lillian Bernice (Gould) and Robert Dale Longley. Glenn departed this life on Sunday, March 3, 2013 at his residence having reached the age of seventy-nine years, eight months and three days.

  • Glenn Longley of Bonne Terre, Missouri was born on Wednesday, June 28, 1933 in Aledo, Illinois a son of the late, Lillian Bernice (Gould) and Robert Dale Longley. Glenn departed this life on Sunday, March 3, 2013 at his residence having reached the age of seventy-nine years, eight months and three days.
    Glenn is survived by wife, Edith (Benson) Longley of Bonne Terre, Missouri; one stepson, Ken Schnitker of Pacific, Missouri; two sisters, Mary Scull and husband, Bill of Quad Cities, Illinois, Virginia Altemeier of Quad Cities, Illinois; one brother, Harry Longley of Durant, Iowa; one step-grandchild, Lily Schnitker; also surviving are nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Glenn was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty, one son, Bobby Longley, one brother, Freddie Longley.
    Glenn served in the United States Navy and retired with 20 plus years of service. He had a well drilling business for many years. Glenn was a member of the Fleet Reserve and the V.F.W. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
    Visitation was held Wednesday, March 6, 2013 from 10-11 a.m. at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.
    A funeral service was held Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Moore Memorial Chapel, Potosi, Missouri with Pastor Jim Wade officiating. Serving as pallbearers were: Ken Schnitker, Jimmy Benson, Michael Essmyer, Steve Thurmond, Gary Conway and Shawn Altemeier.
    Final Prayers and Burial took place in the Hopewell Cemetery, Mineral Point, Missouri. Where Glenn received full military honors consisting of a firing party, taps, folding and presentation of the American Flag.
    Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
