The Mercer County Golden Eagles track team placed second at the Titan Invite on Monday night April 8 with 118 points. Monmouth-Roseville finished on top of the meet with 137 points.
First place finishers for the the Golden Eagles included Brad Sabel in the shot put, Payton Holmes in the 110 meter high hurdles and 300 meter intermediate hurdles and the 4 x 100 meter relay team (Nathan Fippinger, Corey Cox, Payton Holmes and Chris Neeld)
Monmouth-Roseville was anchored by first place finishes in the long jump and triple jump by Martel Hunter as well as first place finishes y Treyvon Smith in the discus, Alfredo Montoya in the pole vault, Matt Bertleson in the 800 meter run and Trevor Hatch in the1600 m ether run. The Titans 4 x 800, 4 x 400 and 4 x 200 meter relay teams also placed first.
