Barbara Ann Mayhew, 57, of rural Princeton entered into eternal peace on Saturday, April 13 2013 at OSF Medical Center in Peoria after an extended illness.
Barb was born August 16, 1955 to the late John A. Mayhew and Darlene (Kimball) Mayhew, who survives. She grew up in Aledo and graduated from Aledo High School in 1973.
Barb had many different jobs throughout her life, but the one that she loved most was working for the Times Record as a reporter and a writer of Barb's Babblings.
Barb is survived by her husband, David Dracukusky; her daughter Becki Williams; her beloved grandchildren Madison Williams and Carson Clawson; siblings Gary (Sharon) Mayhew, Judy (Pete) Peterson, Darryl (Sally) Mayhew, Nancy Rumler, Tom (Pam) Mayhew; as well as her many loving aunts, an uncle, nieces, nephews and other friends.
Barb had a vibrant personality and a zest for life that was contagious to those around her. She always had a story to tell. Her laughter and memory remain in the hearts of all who loved her.
Barb donated her body to the Anatomical Gift Association of Illinois for medical research.
Her family will receive friends on Sunday April 21 at the The Depot in Aledo from 2-4 p.m with a memorial service at 3 p.m.
