Mark 9:15: "As soon as all the people saw Jesus, they were overwhelmed with wonder and ran to greet Him."
How often are we overwhelmed with wonder by Jesus Christ? How often are we just awestruck by Him, by what He did for us, by who He is? We need to think about that more often. We need to appreciate more, who He is, what He did and does for us, why He did it." We need to remember He is God's very own Son.
Jonh 3:16-17: "For God so loved the world that he gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him."
He is the Creator:
John 1:1-3 "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without Him nothing wa made that has been made."
He is also our friend -- an awesome thought:
John 15:14-15: "You are My friends if you do what I command. I no longer all you servants, because a servant does not know h is master's business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you."
We need to also always remember what He did for us, Because of His sacrifice on the Cross, we do not have to be separated from God for eternity because of our sins. Jesus Christ suffered both physically and emotionally for us:
Matthew 7:46: About the ninth hour Jesus cried out in a loud voice, "Eli, Eli, lama sabachtani?" which means, "
My god, My God, why have you forsaken me?"
Because of His holiness, God had to deal with our sins, which separated us from Him. And He did it by sacrificing His Son because of His love for us. Because the Father, Who is love, loved us so very much that He made His own Son to bear our sins for us, so we could live with God eternally.
1John 4:10: This is love: not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as an atoning sacrifice four our sins."
Think on who Jesus is, and what He has done for you and why.
