This painting was done more than forty years ago. The man who did it didn’t know what it meant then and he doesn’t know now. He doesn’t want to know.
Knowing, he tells himself, is overrated.
Of course it could be he is too lazy to tackle the question of what does and does not have meaning, or maybe he realizes his ability to reason only goes so far.
He only knows he applies paint to board or canvas the best he can.
Whether the result is Art or colorful doodling is for others to decide.
