  • Carole L. Rush, 70, of Aledo, died Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at Select Specialty in Davenport, Iowa. Cremation has been accorded and private graveside services will be at a later date in the Aledo Cemetery . There is no visitation. A memorial fund will be established.     She was born April 28, 1943 in Ft. Madison, IA to William and Irene Johnson Rush. She attended Aledo schools and married Archie Chapman. She later mar- ried Jerry Askew.
    Carole was a homemaker and was employed at Aledo Health and Rehab Center.
    Survivors include two daughters: Teresa (Ron) Decker of Denver, Colo.; Tonia Askew of Joy; two sons: Todd Chapman of St. Louis, Mo.; Mikel (Ruth) Chapman of Olympia, Wash.; 11 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; six sisters: Beverly Balmer and Karen Engle both of Millersburg; Barbara Dixon; Kimberly Witt; Kelly Lane; and Susan Mizner, all of Aledo; four brothers: Allen, James, Rick and Jeff Rush all of Aledo; a special friend Missy Kernan; and several nieces and nephews.
    Her parents and a brother: Patrick preceded her in death.
