Chris L. Brown, 59, of Macomb passed away at 3:09 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 12, 2013, at his residence.
He was born on June 12, 1954, in Macomb to Merlin and Elgin Huston Brown.
He is survived by son Chad Brown of Bardolph; step-daughter Mandi O’Hara of Bloomington; granddaughter Abigail Brown of Springfield; sisters Cynthia Greer of Rushville and Candy (Mike Sullivan) Scanlan of Colchester; brother Craig Brown of Fort Myers, Fla.; several nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
Chris lived all of his life in Macomb and worked as the restaurant manager for the Red Ox in Macomb for 13 years. He also owned the Wells Fargo Restaurant in Rushville and was a district manager for Wendy’s.
He was a member of the Macomb Elks Lodge #1009. He was an avid pool player, playing in several leagues and loved to golf. He enjoyed spending time on the river when he was young.
Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 24, at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Macomb. There will be no visitation. A celebration of life will be held immediately following the services at the Macomb Elks Lodge. Cremation rites have been accorded.
