There are many wounded or deeply hurt Christians who have been (unintentionally) hurt by another Christian. These hurting Christians draw back, refusing to expose their need, and become spiritually crippled. If they understood that there was a higher purpose for them being hurt, not that the Lord, or any one else, enjoys someone being hurt, the negative consequences could be avoided and their fellowship with others made better. Turning the negative to the positive.
"All things work together for good to them that love God. To them that are called according to His purposes. Romans 8:28.
There is a present need for overcomes. Those who have risen above the hurt or misunderstanding and did not become bitter or vindictive. As a result, these overcomes have become compassionate and understanding and have a desire to bring healing to those who have been wounded, and left behind and finally alone; because they have withdrawn from fellowship with the Body of Christ.
If you feel a strong need to minister in this area of critical need; you must be willing to subject your life to circumstances, or dealings beyond that which is required for your own spiritual discipline and walk. This is necessary so you will be able to compassionately relate to the wounded and hurt, then understand how to help them.
Preparation to help others is above and beyond al that is required to bring us into "The measure of the stature of the image of Christ." Ephesians 4:13.
We must give the Lord permission to take us through necessary trials, in order to be prepared to understand and relate to the needs of the wounded and hurting people.
"if any man will come after Me, let him deny himself, and follow Me." Matthew 16:24.
The "if" tells us that we ourselves must choose to submit our will to Him, and die to our right to our selves. Otherwise we continue in our own ways. When we come to the realization of this, we quickly turn, prayerfully give back to the Lord the right to do as I choose, judging for ourselves what is right and wrong. Then, we unconditionally submit our lives to His Lordship and look to Him to make the life choices for us. In this submission He uses us to help other heal.
