Members of Harrisburg Kiwanis Club gathered with the Harrisburg High School Band Wednesday to present a $1,000 check to the band in order to further the high school's music program.
The money was raised through the sale of a DVD and CD documenting the city's recovery from the Leap Day Tornado of 2012.
The club has been selling the DVD documentary and CD containing a song written, composed and performed by club member Rhonda Belford. There are a few copies of the CD and DVD left.
The Harrisburg Kiwanis also remembered the storm victims of Ridgway by presenting Tuesday a $500 check to the Gallatin County schools for their arts and music programs. Gallatin currently has no band.
