The memorial service for Charles A. Mathiesen, 52, of Pontiac will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Hager Memorial Home, Dwight, with Pastor Connie Williams Moody officiating.
Cremation rites will be accorded.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, also at the memorial home.
Mr. Mathiesen went to be with his Savior Jesus Christ Nov. 19, 2013, at his home.
Charles was born Aug. 29, 1961, in Fairbury, a son to Alan and Phyllis (Hansen) Mathiesen.
He is survived by his daughter Jonna and son Jordan, both of Pontiac, and his son Nathan of Cave-in-Rock; his mother, of Dwight; his brother Richard (Lisa) Mathiesen, Carmel, Ind.; his sister, Barbara Mathiesen, Indianapolis, Ind.;and three grandchildren, Lenore and Robert Riley and Chase Siefert.
He was preceded in death by his father and Laura Hall, the mother of children Jonna and Jordan.
He graduated from the Dwight Township High School class of 1979. He attended North Central College and University of Phoenix Online.
Charles was employed at Caterpillar in Pontiac for the past eight years. He was a member of the bowling league at Fiesta Bowl in Pontiac for many years and also the pool league.
He was an avid reader, skilled gardener and a big Chicago Bears fan. "Bear Down."
