  • Lois Marston, 92, of Aledo, formerly of Roseville, passed away on Monday, Nov. 11, 2013, at Genesis Senior Living of Aledo, with her family at her side. Lois Marie (Livermore) Marston, daughter of George Carroll and Jessie May (Coddry) Livermore was born Feb. 11, 1921, in Point Pleasant Township, Warren County. She attended the Pleasant View Grade School and graduated from Roseville High School in 1939. She attended Western Illinois State Teacher’s College in Macomb, and taught at several rural schools in Warren County, near Roseville, in the early 1940’s. She married her high school sweetheart, Leslie R. Marston, on June 7, 1941, in Buda. While her husband was sta- tioned in Toledo, Oh. dur- ing WWII, Lois worked in the payroll office of Libby-Owens-Ford Glass Company. She spent the remainder of her life as a devoted wife and homemaker. She taught Sunday School classes for many years, and was a long-time member of the Roseville United Methodist Church, and the Sunshine Club. Lois was a wonderful, caring mother to her two daughters, passing along her love of education and her expertise in homemaking. In later years, she became the beloved grandmother of six grandchildren, whose education and careers were of great importance to her.
    She is survived by her husband of 72 years, Leslie R. Marston, of Aledo, formerly of Roseville, and her two daughters and their husbands, Linda and Bruce Hall, and Rhonda and Steve Brown, all of Aledo, six grandchildren survive: Craig (Stephanie) Brown, East Peoria; Krista (Lloyd) Ney, Moscow Mills, Mo.; Kelly (Stacy) Earll, Boone, Ia.; Kevin (Nikki) Hall, Edgington; Kent (Lindsey) Brown, Lynn Center; and, Cara (Dan) Magedanz, Aledo. Fifteen great grandchildren and five step-great grandchildren sur- vive: Hannah, Sydney, and Addie Brown; Jamie, Jacob, and Jackson Ney; Noah Hiveley, Heath Earll, Presley Earll and Mallory Earll; Kaden, Natalie, and Kalen Hall; Carter, Lucy, and Lincoln Brown; and, Josie Brown, Sydney Magedanz, Madison Magedanz, and Trenton Magedanz. A brother-in-law, Charles (Bev) Wilt, of Rock Island, a sister-in-law, Marie Livermore, of Roseville, and several nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers: Lyle Livermore, Lloyd Livermore, and George Livermore, Jr.
    Graveside Service were at 10:30 a.m. Saturday Nov. 16, 2013 at Roseville Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation was held Friday Nov. 15, 2013 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Corman Memorial Home in Roseville. Memorials may be made to the Roseville United Methodist Church or Brookstone Assisted Living of Aledo. Online Condolences may be made at www.cormanmh.com.
