  • How important is sustainability when measuring the success of a business or organization? On Monday, Jan. 27, a panel of area leaders will discuss environmental sustainability practices as part of their organizations' bottom line. "Sustainability in Business" will take place at 7 p.m. in the Rogalski Center, located at the corner of Ripley and Lombard Streets, one block west of Harrison Street. The event is part of St. Ambrose University's yearlong Sustainability Project.
    Panelists will include: Mike Sharp, vice president of support services, Genesis Health Systems; Bill Stoermer, senior communications manager, Exelon Generation Company; and Laurie Zelnio, director, Safety, Environment and Product Standards, Deere & Company.
    The event is sponsored by the SAU College of Business.
    St. Ambrose's yearlong project series "Sustainability" is focusing attention on ethical practices relative to the earth, its resources and to humans. Series events include lectures, films, concerts, artistic performances and exhibits. For more information, go to www.sau.edu/sustainability.
