The United High School girls basketball team lost to ROWVA Monday night, 48-36.
ROWVA's Emma Johnson scored six points in the first quarter and led them to a 10-6 lead over United after the first period.
United came back in the second period to outscore ROWVA 11-10 to trim the Tigers lead to 20-17 at the half. Callie Brunswig scored seven of her nine points in the second period to lead the United comeback.
ROWVA reestablished themselves in the third period as Johnson sank a three three pointers. Ashleigh Brown scored seven points for United but ROWVA still lengthened its lead to 34-26 by the end of the third period.
ROWVA continued to perform well in the fourth period outscoring United 14-0 to seal the victory.
ROWVA's Johnson led all scorers with 21 points.
Scoring for United were: Ashleigh Brown and Callie Brunswig, nine; Mykela Mann and Kelsie Lucas, six and Abbey French, Addy McKee and Joelle Shea, two.
