On Saturday, February 1, 2014, the Mercer County Home and Community Education Association (MCHCE) invites the public to attend a variety of “Lessons for Living” classes which will take place at the College Avenue Presbyterian Church, 501 S. College Ave., Aledo, IL between 9 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.. Two class options will be offered at each session. Here are the class times and topics: Session I (9 – 10 a.m.) Cinnamon Rolls Cooking Class, or Growing Hostas; Session 2 (10 – 11 a.m.) Making Pies Cooking Class, or Starting Seeds Indoors; Session 3 (11 a.m. – noon) Planning for Food Preservation, or Wine Discovery; (Lunch is from Noon – 12:30 p.m.) Session 4 (12:30 – 1:30 p.m.) Photography, or Ribbon Roses.
The cost is $10 for all four sessions and includes lunch, or you can attend individual classes at $5 each. Classes sizes are limited and are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
