Tickets are $20 for adults, $16 for seniors, and $10 for students and Augustana faculty and staff. A limited number of free tickets are available for middle and high school students and their families due to a grant from the Meredith Foundation.

Soloists for the program include Timothy Stalter (Evangelist), professor and director of choral activities at the University of Iowa; Emily Truckenbrod (soprano), assistant professor and director of vocal studies at Southern Illinois University–Edwardsville; Rebecca Ringle (mezzo-soprano) from New York City; Eric Ashcraft (tenor) from Moline; and Howard Eckdahl and Saul Nache and (baritones), members of the voice faculty at Augustana.

Composed in 1724, St. John Passion is a dramatic representation of the Passion as told in the Gospel of John. The piece is constructed of dramatically presented recitatives and choruses, with commentary in reflective chorales, ariosos and arias, framed by opening and final choruses, leading to a final chorale.
