For 4-H members, the Rock Island County Fair is a special time as they get to showcase their talents by exhibiting their many projects they’ve worked hard on all year. The beginning of 4-H conference judging starts on Saturday June 14 at 9 a.m. when 4-H members from across the county share General Projects in over 200 different areas inside the Dave Copeland Center at the Rock Island County Fairgrounds, 4200 Archer Dr. East Moline, IL. From woodworking and electricity to visuals arts, robotics and new this year – cake decorating, 4-H members have the opportunity to showcase their work to a judge for review and are awarded ribbons for their work. The Best of Show advance to the State Fair. One of the great benefits of being in 4-H is to “learn by doing” as they plan, practice and present a finished product to a judge. Working on their 4-H fair projects give members a unique opportunity to discover their interests and talents.
