  • Everett Coleman Williams
Everett Coleman Williams of Boise died on Tuesday, June 24, 2014, of natural causes.
Everett was born near Reynolds, on March 7, 1927, to a large farm family
consisting of fifteen children. Not long after graduating from Aledo High School, Everett decided to leave the farm. He took the money he had saved from farming and in 1945 joined two aunts and other family who had moved to Idaho many years earlier. He took a job in Boise with the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation and also attended Boise Junior College and then Boise State. Everett continued working at the Bureau for 40 years, eventually as a chemist and water quality specialist. His work later led him to work on water projects in Brazil and Somalia.
He married Joella Ruth Kinnison in 1956 and became a dedicated stepfather to Judy and Bill. His son Dan was born in 1962. Everett’s favorite days were spent at the cabin he mostly built himself near Donnelly, Idaho.
Everett is survived by his son, Dan Williams, and his grandson, Everett, of Boise; his stepdaughter Judy Blevins of LaGrande, Ore., and his stepson Bill Dickerson of Star, along with their children and grandchildren. Also surviving him are brothers Willard, Melvin and Leonard Williams and sisters Shirley Schultz and Patricia Ryan, all of Illinois. His wife Joella died in
2000. As a father, stepfather, grandfather and brother, Everett is remembered for his love of baseball, his broad smile and sweet disposition.
Funeral Services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 1 at Cathedral of the Rockies, Boise with Rev. Steve Tollefson officiating. Burial took place at Morris Hill Cemetery, Boise. Services were under the direction of Alden-Waggoner Funeral Chapel, Boise at the First United Methodist Church.
