Michael G. Chausse, Mercer County High School Agriculture Education Instructor, was named the Section 4 recipient of the Illinois Association of Vocational Agricultural Teachers Excellence in Teaching Award at the annual IAVAT Conference held June 17-19, 2014 at Decatur. This award is presented each year to an Agriculture Education instructor that demonstrates excellence in the classroom and in directing the school’s FFA Chapter. Section 4 comprises 11 schools in the counties of Rock Island, Mercer, Henderson, Warren, Knox and Fulton counties.
Mr. Chausse is a 5 time recipient of this award. He has taught at the Aledo/Mercer County School District for 26 years. He also serves as a 3rd Ward Alderman for the City of Aledo.
