  • Burlington, Iowa, Aug. 22, 2014 – Texas Tenors will kick off Burlington Civic Music Association’s 85th sapphire anniversary season Tuesday, Sept. 9, at Burlington Memorial Auditorium, 200 Front St., Burlington, Iowa. The performance is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m.
Burlington Civic Music Association has offered high-quality entertainment on the banks of the Mississippi for 8½ decades, this season is the beginning of a new era for the association.
“For the first time, Burlington Civic Music is offering single-show ticket sales for our entire season,” said Civic Music President Barbara McRoberts. “We still sell season-ticket packages, and those sales have been very brisk this summer, but now single-show tickets will be available for purchase one month before each respective performance.”
Texas Tenors is the highest-ranking vocal group in the history of “American's Got Talent.” These three tenors offer a unique blend of vocals – from country and gospel to Broadway and classical. Texas Tenors have entertained audiences in more than 20 countries, including a tour of China last year. When not on tour, audiences can find them collaborating with such notables as the Houston Symphony and the Cleveland Pops, and performing at the Starlite Theater in Branson, Missouri. Their debut album, “Country Roots-Classical Sound,” is the only independent album to be ranked No. 1 on both the country and classical charts.
“Texas Tenors have a large and dedicated fan base, and we expect single-ticket sales to push us quickly toward a sold-out show,” McRoberts said. “Non-season ticketholders interested in attending the show should buy their tickets early to ensure a seat in the auditorium.”
Single-show tickets are $45 for adults and $10 for students. All adult tickets are $50 at the door on the day of the show. Those interested in attending may buy tickets at the Box Office at Memorial Auditorium between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Sunday. Tickets are also available online at www.TicketMaster.com.
Reserved season tickets for 2014-2015 are still available. Visit www.BurlCivicMusic.com, call 319-752-0336 or email Sales.Support@BurlCivicMusic.com, for more information.
