The Aledo Exchange club is hosting another set of frog races. This is the 16th year for the Dr. Ford Frog Races.

Young and old are invited to the annual frog races on July 4 in Aledo Central Park. Races are available for young and old at this fun, family-friendly event. Sign-up at 9:30 a.m., with races beginning at 10 a.m. There is no cost, just bring a frog.

There are also frogs available for rent that day. There will be an ice cream social sponsored by Messiah Lutheran Church at the Central Park pavilion, to help support the Relay for Life team.

Aledo's annual fireworks will take place at the Mercer County Fairgrounds this year on July 4.
