Kenneth I. “Sonny” Finley, 88, of Aledo, formerly of Seaton, passed away Thursday, March 23, 2017, at Genesis Senior Living, Aledo.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 31, at Bewley Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Aledo. Burial will be in Peniel Cemetery.

Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. until service time Friday, at the funeral home.

He was born July 19, 1928, in Dillion Township, the son of Paul and Edna Johnson Finley. He married Charlotte Ann Figle on October 14, 1950 in Manito, IL.

Kenneth was a forklift operator at Gale Products in Galesburg prior to his retirement. He enjoyed old television shows, gardening, hunting, fishing, camping and his dog, Ornery.

Those left to honor his memory include his sons, Larry (Vicki Dellitt) Finley of Aledo, Kenny (Leah) Finley of Laharpe, and Ron (Amanda) Finley of London Mills; daughters, Marcia (Don) Wilken of Joy, Monica (Gale) Mahnesmith of Monmouth, Myra (Steve) Ream of Taylor Ridge, Lori (Nick) Canini of Galesburg and Lisa (Brian) Miller of Monmouth; twenty grandchildren; many great and great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Veda Lawson of Manito, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife in 2015, three brothers, one sister, three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
