The Mercer County Sheriff's Office is pleased to announce, through a partnership with the Illinois Sheriff's Association, the "P2D2" (Prescription Pill Drug Disposal) program.

Dispose of your unwanted, unused and expired prescription, over-the-counter and other household medication, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Just bring the pills to our office, located at 906 SW 3rd Street, Aledo. Look for the big green MedReturn Drug Collection box in our lobby.

We can accept prescription medications, over-the-counter medications, vitamins, and even medications for pets. We cannot accept syringes or other sharps, inhalers, thermometers or medication from businesses or clinics. If you have any questions about this program, please call our office at 309-582-5194.
