Brenda Marple had an emergency appendectomy on Friday, Jan. 8 at Trinity West Hospital. She was able to return home on Saturday and is recuperating at home. Brenda teaches Kindergarten at Reynolds Elementary School.
Rockets girls’ basketball team defeated the Macomb Bombers, 44-39 for the third time in Macomb Thursday, Jan. 14.
Rockridge Rockets boys’ basketball team was defeated by the Orion Chargers Friday, Jan. 15 at Rockridge. Rockridge was defeated in the fourth quarter.
We express our sympathy to the families of Dorothy Fowler and Dick Bozard.
Monday, Jan. 18 was Martin Luther King, Jr.- banks, schools and post-offices were closed.
Tuesday, Jan. 19, the “Swine Flu” shot was given by the Rock Island County Health Department at Reynolds Legion Building, 2-6 p.m.
Barbara Hoffman and Dorothy Armstrong flew to Mercedes, Texas Monday, Jan. 14. While there they sold Dorothy’s trailer home. They came home Thursday, Jan. 14.
Matt Wynn went to Trinity West Hospital with an ear infection on Saturday, Jan. 16. He was able to come home late Sunday.
Friday, Jan. 15, Bonnie Curry and neighbor friends went sledding on Foster’s Hill.
Sunday, p.m. Jan. 17, Marty and Amanda Curry, Dick and Bonnie Curry, visited Inez and Jerry Rushton, Eldridge, Iowa.
Marilyn and Graydon Kranz visited Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minn., last week for a check-up. They came home Friday, Jan. 15.
