Sweethearts are encouraged to spend this Valentine's Day with a familiar name – Black Hawk.
A Valentine Indoor Music and Moonlight Outdoor Walk event has been scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 14 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Black Hawk State Historic Site's Watch Tower Lodge along Illinois Route 5. The event will feature an outdoor stroll along the luminary-lit trail of the site's beautiful natural area. Inside the Lodge, lovebirds can keep warm by the fire and enjoy fresh donuts and cider or hot cocoa. Music will be provided by Just4Fun.
The Feb. 14 event is free and open to the public and is family friendly. It is sponsored by Black Hawk State Historic Site in cooperation with Citizens to Preserve Black Hawk Park Foundation, providing educational outreach for the site since 1972.
