Judy Lane Farwell, 69, of South Korea, died Sunday, April 29 at the Asan Medical Center in Seoul, South Korea. A three-day Asian service was hosted by her daughter, Shanan Kim and her husband Dong Hyun Kim. Her body was cremated.

John L. Fleming, 78, of Aledo, died Saturday, May 5, 2012 at Mercer County Hospital.  Mass of the Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at St. Catherine's Catholic Church in Aledo. Brandon John Howlett, 24, of Oceanside, Calif., formerly of Aledo, died Saturday, April 7, 2012 in California.  Graveside services are 11 a.m. Friday at the National Cemetery Arsenal Island, with military honors conducted by the Mercer County VFW Post 1571.  Meet at the Radisson hotel parking lot on John Deere Commons, 1415 River Drive, Moline by 10:30 a.m. to proceed to the Rock Island Arsenal.  Visitation is 4 – 9 p.m. Wednesday at Bewley Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 103 SW Third Street, Aledo.  Memorials may be given to the Brandon’s unborn baby.

Lily G. Noble Clifford

Ruth Stoldt

Ruth Ada Stoldt, 66, of Swansea formerly of Aledo, died at 8:04 p.m. Saturday, April 14, 2012 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. She was born December 28, 1944 in Anna, the daughter of the late Herman Chester and Opal Ami (Eudy) Smith. She married Carl R. Stoldt June 3, 1967 in Dupo,. He survives. Also surviving are two children:  Carl David (Rebecca) Stoldt of Dothan, AL and Jayme Rose Stoldt of Austin, Texas; five grandchildren; five sisters:  Elizabeth (Gary) Kaemper of Mascoutah, Dolly Heath of Dupo,  Cathy (Jim) Carter of Lebanon, Marsha (Richard) Lardie of Dupo, and Robin (Randy) Breckenridge of Dupo; and one brother, Jim Smith of Lawrenceville.

Hazel McNeal

Hazel I. McNeal, 94, of Aledo, died Thursday, April 12, 2012 at Aledo Rehab & Health Care Center from complications after suffering a stroke. Services are 1 p.m. Monday at Bewley Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Aledo.  Visitation is noon until the time of services at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Aledo cemetery. Memorials may be given to Aledo Rehab & Health Care Center.
Hazel was born Sept. 30, 1917 in Elmer, Missouri, the daughter of James I. and Okey Stull Morris. She married Clarence Riggins in Elmer, Missouri on May 20, 1933. He died in 1985. She married Bud Hunter. She later married Lee McNeal.
