Gerald "Jerry" (Lindsay) Glenn, 54, passed away Dec. 3, 2009. There will be a celebration of life service Sunday, Jan. 10, 2010 at the Aledo Amercian Legion from 2 to 4 p.m. Expressions of sympathy can be made to the Gerald Glenn Memorial.
Born on Oct. 9, 1955 in Randolph County Hospital in Sparta to James and Patsy Glenn, he grew up as the third oldest child in the Glenn family with two brothers and two sisters: Bill, Susie, Sara and Tom. He graduated with the class of 1973 at Aledo High School.
He was employed by Siemens Corp. Jerry also worked weekends as a part-time auto mechanic for John Overley Automotive.
He was preceded in death by his brother David Glenn, his paternal grandparents William Flemings and Della Glenn and maternal grandparents Eugene and Roberta Lindsay of Sparta.
Jerry is survived by Wendy Barnett of Louisville, Ky. and her two sons, Allan Barnett of Kodiak, Alaska and Brandon (Belinda) Barnett of Louisville, Ky., Bethany Barnett, Bardstown, Ky. and grandchildren: Kiersten, Seth and Emma Barnett; his parents, James and Patsy Glenn of Aledo, and his siblings: Bill (Linda) Glenn of Aledo, Susie (Steve) Kenney of Aledo, Sara (Randy) Ott of Viola and Tom (Amy) Glenn of Monmouth. Jerry was also a caring uncle to his many nieces and nephews: Rob and Nicky Ott, Vinton, Iowa; Jim Ott, Joy; Zack and Julia Glenn, Wilmore, Ky.; Joe Ott, Viola; Elizabeth Kenney, Plano; Holly Glenn, Macomb; Kaycee Kenney, Chicago and Samantha Ott, Milan. He was great-uncle to Keira Ott, Evan Ott, Maddy Lake and Jemma Ott.
