Roger L. Cook, 64, of New Boston, died Monday Jan. 18, 2010 at his home.
Services are 2 p.m. Wednesday at Fippinger Funeral Home in Aledo. A private burial will be held at a later date. Visitation is one hour prior to the services at the funeral home where a memorial fund has been established. On-line condolences can be made at www.fippingerfuneralhome.com.
He was born Sept. 29, 1945 in San Bernardino, Calif. a son of Bernard and Dorothy Daves Cook. He graduated from Aledo High School.
Roger was employed as a body man for Newcomb Warehouse for several years retiring in 2008. He was a member of the Moose Lodge# 190 in Rock Island. He enjoyed NASCAR, boating, camping and hanging out in his garage.
He is survived by three children, Tammy (Kenny) Jackson of Seaton; Terry Crossley of Portland, Ore.; Toni (Butch) Velky of Swisher, Iowa, his mother; Dorothy Cook of New Boston, six grandchildren; Angie, Ashley, Andy, Brian, Alex and Brad and four great-grandchildren, Kyla, Bre, Arabella and Tobey and his long time companion, Patsy Sheese of New Boston.
He was preceded in death by his father, one granddaughter; JenniJo and a brother.
