Steven R. Palmer, 70, of Viola, died Wednesday Jan. 20, 2010 at Galesburg Terrace Nursing Home. Graveside services were 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Viola Cemetery. There was no visitation. He was born Oct. 27, 1939 in Viola, a son of Philip and Evangeline Angerer Palmer. He graduated from Winola High School in 1957 and never married.
Steven enjoyed photography and was employed as automotive detailer.
He is survived by a sister-in-law; Dorothy Palmer Unsworth of Viola and nephews Jack, Joseph and John Palmer, Douglas Woolam, an aunt Genevieve Goben and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Michael and Jack Palmer.
