On Monday, Jan. 11, 2010 the Rockridge Community Unit School District #300 school board unanimously approved hiring Glen Cook as the new head varsity baseball coach. Cook had previously served as head varsity baseball coach from 2002 to 2007. During his previous tenure Coach Cook guided the Rockets to a berth in the IHSA state tournament in 2003.
In his six seasons at Rockridge the team won at least 20 games in five of the seasons and won the Olympic Conference baseball title in 2007.
Cook replaces Mike Rettig, who resigned from coaching at Rockridge in July 2009.
