Mercer County's football team had eight all conference selections on offense and six on defense this year. The Golden Eagles, in the team's first year of existence tied with Stark County and United for top honors in the conference.
Selections on defense are: Ethan Ball, linebacker; Preston Smith, defensive tackle; Mason Bush, defensive back; Jordan Willits, at large; Kyle Pitman, linebacker and Michael McClellan, defensive back. Ball, Smith, Bush and Willits were first team selections while Pitman and McClellan were second team selections.
Selections on offense were: Jordan Willits, tackle; Brett Anderson, quarterback; Abel Castor, guard; Tanner Benson, end; Ethan Ball, running back; Michael McClellan, running back; Mason Bush, end and Tanner Dunn, center.
Willits, Anderson, Castor and Benson were unanimous first team all conference selections. Ball, McClellan, Bush and Dunn were second team all conference selections.
United had three selections on defense: Adam Olin, defensive tackle; Erik Watson, linebacker and Dustin Logsdon, defensive back. Olin was a unanimous first team all conference selection. Watson and Logsdon were second team selections.
United had five selections on offense: Adam Olin, running back; Erik Watson, kicker; Sheldon Welch, at large; Matt Grubb, guard and Dustin Logsdon, end. Olin was an unanimous first team selection. Watson and Welch were first team selections. Grubb and Logsdon were second team selections.
Stark County had nine selections on offense and seven on defense.
AlWood-ROWVA had five selections on offense and five on defense.
North Fulton had five selections on defense and two on defense.
West Central had one selection on offense and one on defense.
Elmwood-Brimfield had two selections on defense.
