Randall L. Hardesty, 55, of Aledo, died Wednesday, March 25, 2009, at Vashti Village in Aledo. Graveside service was 1:30 p.m. Monday, March 30 in Oakwood Cemetery in Macomb. He was born June 6, 1953 in Macomb, a son of Guy Jr. and Jacil Carter Hardisty. He graduated from Aledo High School in 1971 and married Aerie Park in Korea. She preceded him in death. 

Randall was a U.S. Army veteran. He was employed as a Nurses Aid at Mercer County Nursing Home for many years. He enjoyed needlepoint, cooking, and spending time with family.

He is survived by a daughter Andrea Smith of Fairfax, Va.; two granddaughters Angelique and Ashley Smith of Fairfax; his mother and step-father Jacil and Earl Ham of Aledo; three sisters Linda (Keith) Estes of Davenport, Iowa, Rhonda (Tom) Cady of Breachner, Mo. and Brenda (John) Hess of Broken Arrow, Okla. and six nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his father and his wife.
