CANTON-Students at Westview Elementary brought donations to school for veterans
The entire student body at Westview donated to the endeavor.
Early Childhood teacher, Renee Stockov spearheaded the drive, “I love Veterans Day. I think it’s fantastic and this (Operation Gratitude) is one of my favorite organizations.”
Items on Operation Gratitude’s ‘wish list’ include:
•All purpose wipes (single and 30 count packs or less)
•Batteries (AA and/or AAA)
•Deodorant (travel Size, non-aerosol)
•Drink Mix (individual serving packets)
•Jerky (individual bags)
•Pencils (mechanical preferred)
•Powder (travel size)
•Puzzle books (7”x10” preferred size)
•Sewing kits (travel size)
•Socks (Black crew length)
•Sunscreen (travel size, non-aerosol)
Handmade with Love items
•Knit or Crocheted hats and scarves
•Paracord Survival Bracelets
All donated items must have a shelf-life/expiration date of at least six months form the date of their receipt.
Stockov must now mail all of the items received which will be quite costly.
