Barbara was born July 18, 1937, in Aledo, IL, the daughter of Paul and Alberta McLane Babcock.  She married James Richardson on June 30, 1955, in Arizona.

She was a member of the former Grace Chapel in Joy, IL.  Her kids, grandkids and great grandkids were her whole world.  She was a woman of great faith.  She read the Bible until she was no longer able to read.  Her last words were, “My kids need you Jesus”.

Those left to honor and cherish her memory include her son, Mark (Terri) Richardson of North Carolina; daughters, Cheri (Ron) Figg of Clinton, IA, Connie Clayton of Aledo and Kim (Jeff) Christianson of South Dakota; fourteen grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren; and two lovingly expected; and her sister, Sharon (Chuck) Geyer of Aledo.

She was preceded in death by her parents Carl and Alberta Balmer; husband Jim Richardson, son Jimmy Richardson, grandson Blaine Richardson and sister Roberta Bivens.

“I have fought the good fight.  I have kept the faith.  I have finished the race.”
