All hunters born on or after January 1, 1980, must successfully complete the hunter education course before they can receive their first hunting license.
Participants completing the hunter education course receive a Hunter Education Certification card verifying that they have passed the course of instruction.
This is an excellent opportunity for hunters who need the course in order to qualify for the hunting license. however, it can be beneficial for both beginning, current and advanced hunters, even those born before January 1, 1980.
The minimum ten hour course includes instruction in firearms safety, know your equipment, hunter ethics, tree-stand safety, wildlife management, bowhunting, first aid, laws and regulations.
Pre-registration is required for attendance at the class.
