Davenport, Iowa - Margaret "Margie" Harris, 89, of Davenport, Iowa (formerly of Boden, Illinois) died Saturday, April 17, 2021 at Genesis Medical Center – East, Davenport, Iowa.
Graveside services are 1:00 p.m. Thursday, April 22nd at Farlow Grove Cemetery, Matherville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left for Matherville Fire Department or Farlow Grove Cemetery. Dennison Funeral Home, Aledo is handling arrangements.
Margaret was born March 12, 1932 in Preemption Township, Illinois the daughter of David Bartley and Lulu Belle Sample Thompson. On August 7, 1948 she married James W. Harris in Aledo. Together they had two children, Sandy and Monte.
Margie enjoyed camping, crafts, seek-a-word puzzles, spending time with family and visiting and eating out with friends.
She is survived by a daughter and her family as well as a friend who became family, Sherrie Determan.
Margie was preceded in death by her parents, beloved son Monte in 2003, husband Jim in 2008, 7 sisters and 3 brothers.
